He posts one to three times on a day that has leftover time and a usable signal. Night buses get nothing. Arrival days get less. Café wifi is a peso and a sit.

In-story it is Wednesday, 19 August 2026. Héctor's roof still has the password on a scrap of paper by the kettle. The rain knocked it off for an hour. No pictures to send today. a walking day, usable wifi, an unhurried hour. 2 posts.

Steering-wheel breakfast, Mercado 20 de Noviembre, forty-five pesos. There is a version of me that would have taken the picture first. I took it second. Only slightly better.

  2. The zócalo in Oaxaca early in the morning, trees and wet pavement, nearly empty

The square at an hour when it still belongs to the sweepers. Wet stone, a cathedral that has been standing longer than my country has been a country. I took this before I had wifi and sent it from a wobbly café table, which feels like the right order.
